Doors open at 7:15 AM: warmups begin immediately.  First serve will be whistled across at 7:55 AM.

Venue Rules: 

  • Admission: $6 for adults, $3 for students 
  • NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN GYM
  • Tailgating is permitted in designated areas. 
  • Fans are permitted to bring chairs inside
  • Parking: see map at bottom of this page.
Format: 
  • 2 divisions, Premier & Classic
  • Coaches, Administrators and Tournament Directors will determine which teams are placed in divisions.
  • Teams will *NOT* play outside of their division.
  • Paid R1 officials
  • Competition format is the same for all divisions.  
  • This is non-elimination tournament, *ALL* teams play 3 pool sets and 3 bracket matches.
    Pool Play
  • Each team will play 1 set to 25 (win by 2 / capped at 30) against every team within their pool.
  • Rally scoring
  • Teams are seeded into brackets based upon pool finish.
    Bracket Play
  • 16 Team Divisions seed into Gold and Silver Brackets
    • 1st and 2nd finishers enter the Gold Bracket,
    • 3rd and 4th place finishers enter the Sliver Bracket. 
  • Every team plays three bracket matches; best 2 of 3 sets. The first 2 sets are played to 25 (win by 2 / cap at 30).  If each team wins a set, teams play a 3rd, tie-breaking, set to 15 (win by 2 / cap at 20).

Premier Division teams seek a typical level of 8th grade competition.  Premier level teams typically have one or two players participating in travel/club volleyball and players who have played on their school's 7th grade team. 

Classic Division teams have a developmental competitive profile. Players on Classic Division teams may be competing in their first year of middle school volleyball. 

During the tournament, match results will be posted through an online system parents can accessible via their smartphones.
