For the 8th grade tournament scheduled for Saturday, 2009-09-12, the
twenty participating teams were seeded and grouped into five pools of
four teams each. For each of the pools, the following General Match Schedule will be used. The single-elimination bracket playoffs (pictured here)
are scheduled to begin immediately after pool play finishes (allowing
time for teams to travel to their afternoon venues). The desired but approximate start times are shown in the following table for both pool play and bracket playoff matches.

There are two important bits of information that need to be emphasized: - All of the start times listed above are approximate
and teams should be ready to warm-up and play as soon as any previous
match is completed. The tournament venue managers will make every
attempt to keep all matches on or ahead of schedule.
- As stated in several sections of the tournament information document (found here), each team must provide one line-person for every match they play.
Simple verbal instructions for performing this duty will be given at
the tournament. Except for the two line judges (1 from each team), all
other officials and score keepers are provided by the tournament.
The
five pools used for the 8th grade tournament are listed in the
following tables. The header for each table lists the name of the pool
and the location where all of the matches of the pool will take place.
The team number beside each team can be used with the General Match Schedule above to determine when ( approximately) pool matches for each team are to be played.

The bracket playoffs are held between
similarly ranked teams from each of the five pools. This means that the
first place teams from each of the five pools all go to one site to
play a five-team single-elimination bracket. The same is true for the
second, third, and fourth place teams within each pool; all twenty teams will play in one of the 4 bracket playoffs. The seedings for the playoffs have been pre-determined and is shown here. Additionally,
the locations for all of the bracket playoffs has finally been settled
and are listed here (each location name is also a link to a map of that
location):
Good luck to all of the teams. Play hard and have fun! |
