The Bellaire volleyball team has been an immovable force in the Houston Independent School District for the past few decades.

Ap Clarke, beginning her 17th season as the Cardinals' head coach, has never missed the postseason during her tenure and has guided Bellaire to league titles 15 of 16 years.

Predictably, Bellaire is the big favorite in District 18-6A. That is despite the graduation of several seniors, like Sundara Chinn (Texas Wesleyan University) and Jade Robinson (who tragically died in a car accident this year), off a squad that finished 34-6 and advanced to the Class 6A-Region III quarterfinals, the Cardinals' deepest playoff run in the Clarke era.  Read more...

The Bellaire volleyball team has been consistently successful, but last year’s squad particularly talented. The Lady Cardinals finished 34-6, won the Spring Branch ISD Tournament and took a 29-match winning streak into the Region III-6A quarterfinals.  Read more...
