Bellaire Volleyball's 2015 co-Captain and senior Sundara Chinn, signed to play college Volleyball with Tennessee Wesleyan.

Chinn, a two-year varsity starter and letter winner, led Bellaire in matching the Cardinal's deepest playoff run in school history.  Since Chinn's arrival, the Lady Cardinals have never lost a set in a district match.  She leaves Bellaire on a 32 match win streak against district competition.  Most notably, all the match victories came as 3-set sweeps; that's 96 sets without a loss.  Chinn was a 2014 first-team All-District selection the first year she wore a Cardinal uniform.  In her senior year, Chinn was named District 20-6A's 2015 MVP.

In 2015, the 6' left-handed right-side led the Cardinals to a 34-6 overall season record; an undefeated 16-0 district campaign and a Championship in the highly competitive Spring Branch ISD tournament.

In August, Sundara established herself as the Lady Cardinals' kill leader while taking Bellaire to the program's first Gold Bracket appearance in the Adidas Texas Volleyball Invitational Pearland Tournament.  A week later, Chinn received Tournament MVP honors after leading the Cardinals to the Spring Branch ISD Tournament Championship; another first for the Bellaire Volleyball program.  For her outstanding tournament performances, The Houston Chronical selected Chinn as their very first High School Athlete-of-The-Week for the 2015-16 school year.  Later, NBC affiliate KPRC selected Sundara Chinn as their Star Athlete-of-The-Week for her outstanding performances in district competition.

Chinn is Bellaire's most versatile volleyball player.  In 93 sets; Chinn put down 333 kills, 60 aces and hit a stellar .311 while finishing among Bellaire's top three in blocks, digs and serves received.  She is a 6 rotation player who contributes in all phases of volleyball; including leadership.  Bellaire Head Coach Clarke said, "Sundara makes my job look easy.  She is so phenomenal in what she does.  She is great in the classroom; but, even better on the court.  She is a role model for other kids."

Chinn enters her 4th club year playing for Houston Juniors top 18 Elite team.  Last year, Chinn competed in USAV Nationals on Houston Juniors top 17 Elite team.

Congratulations Sundara Chinn!  We will continue to cheer on your success at the next level!
