Tonight, the Lady Cardinals played Sam Houston. Varsity was at The Pavilion, JV and Freshmen traveled to Sam Houston and the Lady Cardinals put together another program sweep of a district foe. The Freshman smacked down their counterparts at Sam Houston High (25-10 & 25-4). The JV team did their part; taming the Tigers (25-5, 25-10). At The Pavilion, the varsity's 3-0 sweep featured exceptional performances from a players typically found in the back row. Lauren Li led the team with 11 kills on 15 attempts (667 hitting %) and dropped 3 aces. Ace leader, Ella Hawes dropped 8 aces on the Tigers and went on to serve 18 times in the match. Back row counterpart, Isabelle Long, went off on her own serving run of 18 and putting 3 aces down on the floor. It was another night where all the Cardinals reached the floor. Great job ladies for taking down the Tigers in fine fashion! |
