On Friday, August 29th, the Cardinals traveled to take on Nimiz High School from Aldine ISD.

The Lady Cardinal Freshman volleyball team earned their first win to start out the holiday weekend.  Every member of the team got a chance to play.  Rein Dolarmente lead the way in kills with four, and Nadia Rasheed ran the service line with back-to-back-to-back aces.  The Freshmen won the match 2-0 with scores of 25-6 and 25-16.  Coach Tomlinson was very proud of collecting the win and said: "we were able involve everyone in this victory and they competed very well."

The JV team easily handled Nimitz in a similar fashion wining the match 2-0 (25-12, 25-18).  After the match, Coach Martin said: Lilly Kirkland led us in kills again and Henna Calderon was solid across the back row.  Rachel Nolte and Gianna Haskin contributed to the offense with strong serving."  The JV was able to seal a solid match victory.

With both the JV and Freshman winning their matches in the minimum number of sets, the Varsity took the floor ready to execute.  Oh and they did!  Sundara Chinn and Bri Wilson boomed kill after kill while Maya Evans and Travanna Matthews were dominate in the middle.  Clare Smith and Jade Robinson were major offensive contributors in the second set.  By the third set, all varsity players who traveled North to the M.O. Campbell Center had contributed to the 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-12, 25-14).

The cardinals put on a clean sweep of the NImitz; wtihout dropping a single set.
