During this spring semester, Bellaire Volleyball players have been participating in conditioning workouts and studying hard to maintain the high academic standards at Bellaire High School.  After school and on weekends, most Bellaire Volleyball players compete on elite club volleyball teams.  During spring, college recruiting is in full swing.     As in previous years, Bellaire Volleyball players are actively being recruited by college programs.  Every year, Bellaire Volleyball players receive offers to continue playing in college and this spring is shaping up to be no different.  With the NCAA sanctioning Sand Volleyball as a competitive sport, several Lady Cardinals will play competitive sand volleyball over the summer.  But what is common for all these student-athletes, volleyball begins and ends at Bellaire High.

Officially, the 2014 volleyball season begins on Monday, August 4, 2014 with team tryouts; but, there are plenty of opportunities to work on your volleyball skills before then.  Open Gym begins Monday June 9th and continues on Monday and Wednesday nights up until tryouts.  Incoming Freshmen are strongly encouraged to participateOpen Gym is supervised by an adult and there is no cost to attend.  Incoming freshmen are also encouraged to attend Bellaire Volleyball's Summer Camp on July 25th from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM and July 26th from 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM.  This summer camp is also open to 7th and 8th graders and provides an excellent opportunity to develop volleyball skills, meet Bellaire Volleyball coaches and prepare for the upcoming school volleyball season.

Being a Bellaire Volleyball player is challenging and requires a strong work ethic and commitment to academic excellence, physical conditioning and performing volleyball skills at a high level.  Bellaire Volleyball is a very competitive program.  But, for players who earn a spot, Bellaire Volleyball is tremendously rewarding.
